To oil or not to oil...
14 Jul 2016To oil or not to oil...that really shouldn’t be the question. The question should be...How can I prepare my shoes in such a way that it doesn’t impact everyone else on the floor!

Junior II Latin
This marked a “double” for the Washington based pair Erik Linder & Rickie Taylor....
1. Erik Linder & Rickie Taylor (WA) 1,1,1,1,2. Erik & Rickie are a very successful 10-dance couple. For me the Latin is their weaker style in that it is a little lacking in passion. I would also like to see more precise leg action from Rickie. That being said, I thought they were worthy winners today.

Pro-Am Spotlight: Katie Harrison
12 Jul 2016The Girl with the Tree Tattoo “Taking My Place on the Dance Floor”
“I don’t think I belong here.” That was the dominant thought in my head as I watched the pro-am American rhythm session at the 2014 Holiday Dance Classic, held at the Tropicana in Las Vegas. It was my second competition as a pro-am ballroom student. I was there to dance American smooth at the bronze level. Smooth wasn’t until the next day, but my teacher was competing with other students in rhythm and I wanted to show my support.
